About me

My path to becoming a designer was inevitable from the start: ever since I could pick up a pencil, I've been drawing, doodling, and coloring ideas on paper. By the age of eight I was creating my own icons inspired by street signs, compiling color palettes I was considering for my dream room, and designed my own characters, each with a visual color theme and an origin story. As I got older I eventually discovered that the things I loved to create go by a more formal name: design concepts.

Intensive concept-building is at the heart of my design process and my vision as a designer is to solve problems with a thoughtful purpose and make an impact on the community. Over the years my design philosophy has become very simple: Concept is King. I believe that successful design begins with meaningful and robust concepts.

On my spare time I'm an enthusiast of many things: I read comics/graphic novels and love to draw in a style that emulates them(with aspirations to publish my own someday ;) ). I'm a 'history buff' with a passion for 17th century and non-western history, and a bookworm that loves to indulge in fantasy, mystery and historical fiction books. I also enjoy doing home decor on a budget, cooking vegetarian and vegan cuisine, and have an eclectic taste in music that ranges from RnB music to death metal. Additionally, I am a passionate advocate of self-care and sustainable living, which is shown through my love of body butters/lotions and shopping second hand as much as possible. I especially love shopping at thrift stores to satiate my throw pillow obsession and find unique treasures for my home.
